Leonardo DiCaprio pays back to the community in fundraiser event
Leonardo DiCaprio hosted a star-studded fundraising event at a private residence which was a huge success.
The event for DiCaprio’s charity Re:wild was held during Art Basel Miami on Friday, December 6th.
The 50-year-old actor had invited Jamie Foxx to host the function, while other stars Steve Aoki, Daymond John, Soleil Moon Frye, Dustin Yellin, Todd Graves and more stepped out to support the fundraiser which benefited Indigenous peoples, local leaders and community organisations working to protect the planet.
According to a Page Six report, the Ray star started the event before the charity’s co-founder Dr. Wes Sechrest welcomed the star guest.
Environmentalists and human rights activists also contributed in the event and spoke passionately about their goals.
The Titanic star sported his signature black baseball cap, and a black shirt, and put on a gold chain necklace to complete the look.
As per the outlet’s report, the Inception actor has helped raised $200 million in grants for a diverse range of global environmental programs and projects that support marine conservation, protect biodiversity and support indigenous communities.
