Snoop Dogg gets emotional as he makes final announcement on ‘The Voice’
Snoop Dogg faced a difficult choice on the last episode of the singing competition show The Voice when he had to choose a winner for the knockout round.
The 53-year-old rapper who had grown increasingly close to all three of the final contestants was visibly emotional as he had to send two of them home on the episode aired on Monday, November 18th.
The round's finalists ChrisDeo, Mikaela Ayira and Torre Blake gave their best performances as the Drop It Like It’s Hot singer wrestled with the choice.
Getting teary-eyed, Snoop said, "I didn't think I was gonna get this emotional. I love these three girls. Ya'll made me proud."
He continued, "I'm so torn right now because I can't take all of ya'll with me. I'm hurt. And I'm supposed to be strong right now. I'm supposed to make ya'll strong. But this is how you affected me. I love each and every one of you."
The Young, Wild & Free rapper shared that he felt like it was his own "daughters" up there and he is sending two of them off to college while one of them gets to stay home.
"Ladies, I love all three of you. I'm so honoured to have been able to be your coach, spend time with you, to get to know you, to give you something to roll with for the rest of your lives — because you affected me for the rest of my life," he said as he revealed the winner of the contest.
"So with that being said... the winner of this knockout is Mikaela," Snoop finally said.
