Anne Hathaway’s 'The Idea of You' to get a sequel?
'The Idea of You' is based on Robinne Lee's novel
Hollywood Diva Anne Hathaway’s popular movie The Idea of You might get a sequel.
In a recent interview with Variety, the senior most female executives of Amazon Prime, Jennifer Salke dropped hints of a possible sequel of the romantic-comedy movie.
When asked if there are chances of a sequel, Salken replied: “Maybe! We announced that we’re making a “Red, White & Royal Blue” sequel [also starring Galitzine]. So you can look for us wanting to deliver more when there’s something that’s been so successful like that.”
She went on to say: “But we’re definitely in business with The Idea of You director Michael Showalter - who’s not a woman, but he certainly did an incredible job bringing a very female story to light - and we see him as a preferred partner on some other things in the romantic comedy space.”
The Idea of You beautifully showcased the story of a 40-year-old single mother who begins an unexpected and unusual relationship with a 24-year-old boy band singer. The movie is based on the novel written by Robinne Lee.
Directed by Michael Showalter, The Idea of You stars Anne Hathaway and Nicolas Galitzine in significant roles. The Amazon Prime film released on March 16, 2024.
