Selena Gomez drops adorable Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce Easter egg in 'OMITB'
Swift had been asking Gomez 'every day' for a cameo in 'Only Murders In The Building' despite being 'too busy'
Selena Gomez proved she’s a “Swelce” at heart by giving a subtle nod to her bestie Taylor Swift and Swift’s NFL superstar boyfriend, Travis Kelce, in the latest episode of her Hulu show Only Murders in the Building.
In a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment, Gomez, 32, and her co-star Martin Short, 74, are seen sitting on a couch surrounded by dolls in a scene at the home of Melissa McCarthy’s character.
Eagle-eyed fans were quick to spot a life-size doll next to Gomez that looked eerily like Swift, sporting her golden tresses, signature red lipstick, and a jersey featuring Kelce’s unmistakable number, 87.
Gomez has been trying to get the multi-Grammy-winner to make an actual cameo in the series for a while.
Speaking to E! News back in August 2024, the Wizards of Waverly Place alum explained Swift, 34, was “too busy” for a guest role but would call “every day” asking for one.
Swift and Gomez’s friendship dates back to 2008 when they dated Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas respectively.
Their friendship has only grown over the years, and while Gomez hasn’t joined her BFF at any Kansas City Chiefs games, she did meet Kelce’s mom, Donna, during a recent Glamour cover shoot.
Meanwhile, the Chiefs tight end previously double-tapped an Instagram photo of Gomez and her beau, Benny Blanco, at a Lakers game in January.
