Sam Thompson pledges to make ADHD advocacy his legacy
Former Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson, appeared on Monday's This Morning where he fought back tears while offering advice to a young girl with ADHD.
Recently appointed as the official ambassador for ADHD UK, Thompson expressed his desire to leave a lasting impact with his advocacy for ADHD awareness.
Diagnosed with ADHD at 30, Thompson aims to shift perceptions and encourage open discussions about the condition.
During the segment, the I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here winner urged the young girl to embrace ADHD as a 'super power,' a term he frequently uses to describe it.
Reflecting on his own experiences, he shared, "I struggled with things I wasn't interested in, but excelled in subjects like ancient history that I loved. You can use it to your advantage."
During a recent appearance on This Morning, he revealed his deep-seated commitment to spreading positivity about ADHD, emphasizing the importance of uplifting young individuals grappling with the condition.
ADHD, characterized by symptoms such as restlessness and difficulty concentrating, has been a significant part of Thompson's journey.
He was diagnosed with this disorder and autism following tests featured in his Channel 4 datocumentary "Is This ADHD?" last year.
Thompson initially disclosed his condition during an episode of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! where he affirmed his lack of shame about his diagnosis.
