Jennifer Hudson recently opened up her long-standing desire to reunite with her half-siblings.
During a recent episode of the Your Mama’s Kitchen: Conversations from the Heart of the Home podcast, the multi-hyphenate star revealed her father had 27 kids, and went on to share her thoughts about meeting them in person.
She said: "It was my dream to have all of us at this grand Thanksgiving or Christmas table, and we all sit and eat together - that was my goal at 16.”
In response to Michele Norris’s comment on her father’s “big” personality, Hudson explained: "Yes, a lot of us. Apparently, he had 27 children.”
The EGOT winner claimed that she hasn’t met them all, but "that's what we were always told.”
Opening up about her meeting with six or seven of her siblings out of the 11 girls and 17 boys, The Voice! alum said: "We found quite a few of us. And I'm the youngest of all of them."
Hudson, whose father Samuel died in 1999, initially knew about his other two children Jason and Julia, whom he shared with her late mother Darnell Donerson.
