Lainey Wilson recently offered an inside scoop on her past year on and off stage in her brand new special Lainey Wilson: Bell Bottom Country.
Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE, Wilson expressed her nervousness as she prepared backstage.
She said: "The amount of people that have come through here, the amount of people who have stood on the stage, who have been in these green rooms. I'm nervous right now.”
Adding to the statement, she shared: "I don't think I ever come to the Opry and play and not have those butterflies. Nine-year-old Lainey would be freaking out right now. It kind of makes me emotional. Y'all are going to see me cry again."
The crowd cheered as soon as the curtains lifted for Wilson’s performance.
For the unversed, the forthcoming special was designed by ABC News Studios’ production, led by Robin Roberts.
The 63-year-old shared in a statement: “I look forward to telling stories about talented women who are strong and authentic. Lainey is definitely one of those women, and I can’t wait to share her uplifting story with audiences around the world.”
Meanwhile, Wilson revealed that being a part of the special was an “honour.”
