Prince Harry seems to be in hot water after fresh legal blow as he returned to the US after concluding Meghan Markle-dominated Nigeria trip.

The Duke of Sussex suffered major blow as he has lost an application to bring new allegations against Rupert Murdoch in his High Court hacking claim against News Group Newspapers (NGN).

Harry's excitement about the case came to an end as he was also denied a request to extend his claim by including allegations that date back to 1994.

Prince William's younger brother was not given permission to include the names of some 150 private investigators, some of which had no specific claims made against them.

Barrister David Sherborne had sought to amend the claim against the group to make specific allegations about the "destruction and concealment" of evidence by certain individuals.

The Duke's proposed updates including the naming of several journalists and senior executives, including Mr Murdoch. But the judge said they added nothing to the allegations already made against other senior figures at NGN.

The judge also refused permission for allegations to be newly made against NGN’s Management and Standards Committee and those relating to the targeting of politicians.

It comes after royal commentators alleged Meghan of overshadowing Harry's event in Nigeria. Taking a brutal dig at the Duchess of Sussex, royal biographer Angela Levin has claimed Harry is "squashed to pieces" in his relationship with Meghan, adding: "Meghan pushes him, pulls him if she wants to go on, if she's bored somewhere, as we saw in footage from Africa."

She even went on claiming: Harry is "scared" of the Duchess and is "pulled about" by her at events.
