Dua Lipa explains Drake, Kendrick Lamar feud in ‘SNL’ skit
Dua Lipa uses Saturday Night Live skit to dig deeper into Kendrick Lamar, Drake feud
Dua Lipa seems to have all the intel on the beef going on between Drake and Kendrick Lamar.
The pop star, 28, tried to explain the rappers’ feud while hosting Saturday Night Live, where she also was a musical guest, on Saturday, May 4, in a skit titled “Good Morning Greenville.”
Dua portrayed a culture critic Wanda Weems on the morning show, in the skit, which Heidi Gardner and Mikey Day hosted.
The songstress connected the dots to Drake, 37, and Lamar’s recent diss tracks about one another, standing in front of a detective pinboard. The board had connections linked together around the artists’ recent beef.
“Well, here’s one clue: on the song Euphoria when Kendrick describes Drake as Canadian, that is because Drake is from Toronto,” Dua explained in the sketch, which shocked Gardner, 40, and Day, 44.
“And he calls Drake ‘crodie,’ which is a term used by the Crips, which according to Wikipedia is an alliance of street gangs based in southern California.”
“Now in Drake’s diss track, he questioned Kendrick’s manhood saying he wears a size 7 shoe,” Dua added in her SNL explanation. “But now Drake is being sued by 2Pac’s estate for using an AI version of his voice.”
