Zac Efron’s movie 17 Again is celebrating its 15th anniversary, which was released on April 17
Zac Efron and Taylor Swift have been close friends for years and the bond came into limelight with the singer’s appearance at 17 Again movie premiere 15 years ago.
On the occasion of movie’s 15th anniversary, Zac and Taylor photos from the premiere resurfaced, while garnering the attention of their fans.
In the photos shared via PEOPLE, Taylor could be seen donning beige shoulderless designer gown featuring crystal beads, as she posed alongside Zac at the premiere of his movie 17 Again back in 2009 in Sydney.
The outlet reported that Taylor was doing a week of concerts in Australia before launching her Fearless tour stateside.
Interestingly, the movie also featured late Matthew Perry, who was cast alongside Zac in the movie, which made $136 million worldwide at the time of release.
Back in the time, Zac travelled around the globe to promote his movie and many celeb friends came out to support him at the premiere including Jonas Brothers, Corbin Bleu so on and so forth.
Zac, who was 17 at the time, spoke to PEOPLE said, “I was not the coolest kid in school, but I wasn't a total pariah. I fell somewhere in between. I wore goofy hats to school and did musical theatre. Most people thought I was a total weirdo. I was the coolest of the nerds.”
Meanwhile, Zac also won movie actor award for 17 Again at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards in August.
During his acceptance speech, Zac stated, “This is very special for me guys, this is a huge honour.”
