Chance the Rapper and Kirsten Corley call it quits after five years

After five years of marriage, Chance the Rapper and his wife Kirsten Corley have made the difficult decision to separate. 

The announcement came via a shared statement on their respective Instagram Stories, where they expressed mutual respect and gratitude for their time together.

Despite their separation, the couple emphasized their commitment to co-parenting their two daughters, Kensli and Marli.

Chance and Kirsten's relationship timeline dates back to 2013 when they initially began dating. 

Their union was blessed with the arrival of daughter Kensli in 2015. 

However, in 2016, the couple briefly separated and engaged in a child support case before reconciling in 2018. 

The following year, they exchanged vows and welcomed their second daughter, Marli. 

Notably, Chance's debut studio album, The Big Day, intricately reflects the journey of their relationship, serving as a testament to their love and shared experiences.

Last year, both experienced a public rift following the emergence of a video depicting Chance engaging in inappropriate behavior at Carnival. 

Kirsten responded by sharing a passage from Maya Angelou on her Instagram, alluding to issues related to maturity. 

Meanwhile, the rapper posted a clip of comedian Bill Burr joking about marital discord, sparking speculation about the state of their relationship. 

A source later assured TMZ that the couple had reconciled and were doing well.
