Brad Pitt is getting lucky in a lawsuit against ex-wife Angelina Jolie which he filed because she sold their co-owned French estate and winery, Château Miraval, to a Russian oligarch Yuri Shefler in 2021.
As per legal documents observed by The U.S. Sun Monday, the actor, 60, “racked up a win in a French court last week' in connection with a ruling over documents authorities seized in a March 2022 raid.
There’s a long way to go in this litigation, but at the moment, the momentum is certainly with Brad,” a source close to the Moneyball lead actor told the outlet.
The Fight Club star “has stood his ground and will continue to do what is right.”
According to the outlet, which cited court documents, the recent decision was related to a raid on the winery in March 2022, during which officers bearing search warrants seized records and a computer in relation to charges made against Shefler's company Nouvel for "malfeasance and misuse of company assets."
Brad’s recent win comes after the Maleficent actress filed to convince a Los Angeles Superior Court to dismiss the case at all.
