Viral Willy Wonka experience inspires terrifying movie adaptation
A horror movie inspired by the recent viral Willy Wonka experience is currently in development.
Stemming from Roald Dahl's 1964 novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, the fictional chocolatier Willy Wonka has been depicted on screen numerous times, with actor Timothée Chalamet portraying a younger version of the character in a recent adaptation.
According to reports from Bloody Disgusting, the announcement of movie based on the viral experience has been made.
Titled The Unknown, the film will draw inspiration from one of the central figures involved in the viral event. Produced by Kaledonia Pictures, the horror flick is slated for release in late 2024.
Kaledonia Pictures has provided a synopsis of the film, which revolves around a renowned illustrator and his wife grappling with the tragic loss of their son, Charlie.
Seeking solace from their grief, the couple retreats to the remote Scottish Highlands, only to encounter an inexplicable and malevolent force that awaits them.
