Sam Asghari speaks on split from Britney Spears: 'People Move On,' shares insights
Britney Spears and Sam Asghari part ways less than two years after saying 'I Do'
Sam Asghari shares his perspective on his marriage to pop icon Britney Spears, emphasizing gratitude for their time together despite their recent separation.
The former couple, who commenced their relationship in 2017 and tied the knot in June 2022, officially parted ways in August.
He reflects fondly on their shared journey, stating, "It was a blessing to be able to share life with someone for a long time. And people grow apart and people move on."
Although Asghari initiated the divorce proceedings from Spears, he expresses no animosity towards his ex-wife.
On the contrary, he prefers to commemorate their relationship positively.
"I've always hated people leaving a certain relationship — and at some point they told each other they love each other and they sat at the same table and ate food together — so I never understood when people part ways and they talk badly about each other," he articulates.
"That's something I'm never going to do because I had nothing but an amazing experience and a great life, and that's always going to be part of my life, a chapter of my life."
Sam approaches his 30th birthday on March 3, he reflects on his journey and focuses on advancing his career while prioritizing a "healthy lifestyle."
The actor and model acknowledges a shift in perspective, recognizing the richness that comes with age and the wisdom gained through life experiences.
