'Broken' Geri Halliwell leans on Spice Girl pals amid husband’s text scandal
Geri Halliwell's husband F1 chief Christian Horner has been marred by allegations of misconduct at work
Geri Halliwell is leaning on her former Spice Girls bandmates in the wake of her husband F1 chief Christian Horner texts' controversy.
The Red Bull Racing boss has been under investigation for his alleged misconduct at work after a female employee lodged an official complaint last year.
However, Horner found himself knee-deep in the controversy after a Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf accused him of sending explicit messages to the employee.
As the chief continues to fight the claims in court, the Wannabe singer enlisted the support of Mel B, Mel C, Emma Bunton and Victoria Beckham.
“They are quietly supporting her behind the scenes and checking in to make sure she is OK,” a source told The Sun.
“Geri has been left broken by the ordeal, but is grateful for the kindness being shown to her by friends.”
Horner was recently questioned during an eight-hour grilling session, who has expressed his willingness to go lengths to prove his innocence.
However, he is hoping for the investigation to be resolved as soon as next week, when he is slated to fly to Bahrain with the team for pre-season testing.
