Kate returns home to embrace 3 kids after two weeks in hospital
Kate, Kids, and King Charles celebrate emotional reunion after hospital stay
The Princess of Wales, Kate, has been joyously reunited with her three children after spending two weeks in the hospital.
Kensington Palace states that Kate is "doing well" following her discharge from The London Clinic in Marylebone yesterday morning. The hospitalization was a result of surgery performed on January 16.
King Charles, who underwent surgery for an enlarged prostate, was also discharged on the same day.
Both royals left the central London hospital within hours of each other.
The King has received advice to avoid public engagements for approximately a month, although he plans to promptly resume working through his red boxes of state papers.
While King Charles may resume duties, Kate is expected to stay out of the public eye until after Easter.
Notably, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis were not taken to visit their mother in the hospital following her recovery from what has been characterized as "abdominal surgery."
The family reunion comes as a source of relief and marks the beginning of Kate's recovery process.
As her children were likely at school upon her return, it is anticipated that they would have seen her for the first time later in the afternoon when they returned from Lambrook School, a ten-minute drive away.
This separation is likely the longest period Kate has been away from her children.
In a recent statement, a Kensington Palace spokesman shared, "The Princess of Wales has returned home to Windsor to continue her recovery from surgery. She is making good progress."
He continued, "The Prince and Princess wish to say a huge thank you to the entire team at The London Clinic, especially the dedicated nursing staff, for the care they have provided."
