Prince Harry, Meghan Markle get slammed by former friend for ‘greed’ over money

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appeared to have damaged their reputation not just in the public’s eye but also of their former friends.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex appeared to have been mingling with the Hollywood crowd in an attempt to make connections to seek new opportunities.

A former friend of Harry, who has ‘maintained friendship’ with his estranged brother Prince William told The Daily Beast’s Tom Sykes that he is ‘gobsmacked’ by the idea that the Sussexes are trying to become the next ‘Kardashians.’

“I mean, it used to be a joke, ‘Oh, they are going to be the new Kardashians.’ The idea that it could actually happen is insane,” the insider shared.

“I’m gobsmacked. They have frittered away their reputations in pursuit of money, and this is the result. I actually think they ultimately probably will do it, or something very like it. They have done everything else, and they are going to need the money.”

The financial status of Harry and Meghan has come under the spotlight after their deal with Spotify collapsed in mid-June, which was followed by a number of other fails.

Since then, the Sussexes have been scrambling to find ‘lucrative deals’ to ‘maintain their luxurious lifestyle.’

Per royal commentator, Daniela Elser, this appears as the couple’s efforts for “the makings of stable, long-term careers” amid their Spotify and Netflix careers.
