Tom Ellis has made a surprising confession about almost joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
According to his latest statement, Pedro Pascal was not the first choice for Reed Richards in the 2025s Fantastic Four: First Steps.
The Lucifer actor revealed that he was up for the role, but it ultimately went to Pascal.
The 46-year-old Welsh actor opened that he was waiting for the right thing and right timing character wise.
Tom recalled looking at the picture of Mister Fantastic in the comics and thinking "this could be the one".
He added, "There was a select group of people that got asked to tape for Reed Richards. I had been waiting for the right thing, timing-wise and character-wise, to come along.”
“And I remember looking at the photo of Richards in the comics and going, 'this could be the one.' We look quite similar”, Ellis told Square Mile.
Therefore, he ended up auditioning for the role, which eventually went to the 50-year-old Chilean actor.
Work Wise, Tom was last seen in Netflix movie The Thursday Murder Club. He is currently busy working on a new FBI franchise spin-off,CIA.
On the other hand, Pedro will be reprising his role as Reed Richards in Avengers: Doomsday.
