Sydney Sweeney to star in sports drama 'Christy'

Sydney Sweeney, who will be featuring in a sports-based film called Christy, has revealed how hard she feels asking for help from others.

The character she is playing in the film is based on former professional boxer Christy Martin.

Sydney says that she could relate to Christy for not wanting to take help as they both don’t want to be viewed as "weak".

She spoke generically how women all over the world does not feel comfortable asking for help as it shows their weakness.

The Anyone but You star stated, "I have a really hard time with asking for help and my friends recently have really pointed that out to me, and they're like, 'Sydney, it's okay to ask. Like, you can'. There's nothing wrong with it, but I have really a hard time with it."

She believes that it is hard especially for woman as there are so many expectations from them to have it all together.

Sweeney emphasized that if women ask for help then it gives a sign of weakness.

She explained to Sky News, "And we don't want to be viewed that way, even though, [a man] can ask for it, and no one's like, 'ah, he's weak'. But if a woman director asks for help, it'd be like, 'oh, she's not prepared for this role.”

The Euphoria actress’ new movie Christy is coming out on November 28.
