Rebel Wilson breaks silence on shocking sexual harassment claim

Rebel Wilson has recently broken her silence on sexual harassment of her lead actress in the upcoming movie, The Deb.

The Pitch Perfect star revealed that the movie’s producer Amanda Ghost sexually harassed leading actress Charlotte MachInnes during an appearance on Channel Nine’s 60 Minutes on Sunday.

“I felt that in my position as director I had to report that, and the moment I did, it started all the retaliation against me,” said the 45-year-old.

Rebel points out that Amanda asked Charlotte to join in for a shower after which, the actress came to her and told her, “Last night Amanda came to me and asked me to have a bath and shower with her and it made me feel really uncomfortable.”

“One-hundred percent she told me that. She came to me and made what I inferred as a sexual harassment complaint,” explained the Senior Year actress.

To note, both Charlotte and Amanda rejected that anything “uncomfortable happened” and disproved Rebel's version of events.

But in a press statement, Charlotte alleged that she “never complained to Ms. Wilson or anyone else that Ms. Ghost made me feel uncomfortable or caused me any trauma whatsoever”.

Meanwhile, Rebel also addressed the claims that she had launched an “online smear campaign” to disgrace Amanda, after several websites made horrific allegations against the producer.

“I had zero to do with the websites. I don't even know how to create a website, I had nothing to do with what was on it,” stated the comedian.

“I read it like a lot of people in the business did, but it is categorically false to say I had anything to do with it, clarified The Hustle actress.

However, Rebel responded, “I read the websites and I think it is very interesting what is on there. I might have gossiped about it to friends.”
