Gal Gadot has recently made surprising revelation about Snow White sequel after disastrous box office performance.
The actress shares she would like to reprise her role as the Evil Queen in the sequel after she received Hollywood Icon Award at the Women’s Guild Cedars-Sinai Snow Ball Gala.
Gal tells US Weekly, “I would love to do that. Yes. Tell [Disney CEO] Bob [Iger]. Bob, I’ll do that.”
The actress comments come months after Disney released it live-action version of Snow White.
The movie, directed by Marc Webb and starring Rachel Zegler in the lead role, was surrounded by controversy ahead of its March premiere.
It was reported to be over Rachel and Gal’s opposing opinions on the conflict that caught the attention of the people across the globe.
The conflict got more serious after the West Side Story actress unfollowed Wonder Woman star on Instagram amid this feud.
Another issue was because of the studio that gave the movie, based on the 1937 original cartoon, a politically correct revamp.
Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage publicly criticised Disney's live-action Snow White remake for being a “backward story about seven dwarfs living in a cave together”.
Due to this backlash, the large scale premiere meant to be held at Leicester Square in London was reportedly cancelled.
A source told PEOPLE at the time, “Disney are already anticipating an anti-woke backlash against Snow White and have reduced the media schedule to just a handful of tightly controlled press events.”
“That is why they have taken the highly unusual step not to host a London premiere for the film and are minimising the amount of press questions that Rachel gets,” added an insider.
