Eddie Murphy returns for voiceover of Donkey in 'Shrek 5'

Eddie Murphy, who has had a flourishing career since decades, has unveiled the decision he made that he regrets in life.

The 64-year-old’s documentary film Being Eddie has been released on Netflix. While promoting the movie, he told a publication that there are a few 'what-ifs' in his career that he regrets.

There are a few films that he turned down thinking they won’t turn out big, but they became blockbusters.

Murphy revealed that he was supposed to star in Ghostbusters. Even though, he did not reveal what role he was offered to play in the franchise

He added, “With ‘Ghostbusters,’ I did ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ instead... It was 'do this or that,' so it worked out cool.”

Later, Eddie told Associated Press that he rejected the offer to do Who Framed Roger Rabbit and Rush Hour.

The Shrek star revealed, "Who Framed Roger Rabbit just sounded ridiculous to me, and I passed on it.”

He confessed, "And afterwards, I was like, ‘Oh, that’s f****** amazing.”

"They were huge, giant hit movies”, he said while adding, "those are [his] big three ‘wish [he] would have done’ movies.”

Even though, these were the three films that he regretted turning down, he still does not feel disappointed over his 2007 film Norbit that received a 9% score on Rotten Tomatoes.

Currently, Murphy is busy doing the voice over for the upcoming fifth sequel of the Shrek series, in which he plays the Donkey.
