I recently appeared in an examination conducted by the British Council. However, the venue – a seaside club – was unfit for such an activity. One could hear loud music coming from a nearby hall. Upon complaining to the invigilators at the venue, the candidates were told that they had sent people to the hall where the concert was being held to ask them to be silent. However, much to the dismay and disappointment of the candidates, the music only got louder and deafening to the point where invigilators had to distribute cotton balls to be used as ear buds.
Such irresponsibility on the part of the club management was uncalled for. The British Council should stop conducting examinations at such venues.
