Mother of two dies under mysterious circumstances
LAHORE
A mother of two children died under mysterious circumstances in her Ghalib Market house on Sunday.
However, the victim’s mother claimed that her son-in-law Zaheer had killed her daughter Badar-un-Nisa and portrayed the murder as suicide to mislead the police. The woman’s husband informed the police that his wife suffering from mental health disorder had committed suicide by taking a heavy dose of seductive pills. Police have registered a case on the complaint of the victim’s father and shifted the body to morgue for autopsy.
MAN COMMITS SUICIDE: A 30-year-old man committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope in Manawan area. The deceased was identified as Muhammad Asif, son of Alyas of Umar Road Manawan. It was reported Asif, who had got married some months back, ended his life by hanging himself with a rope over unknown reasons. Police shifted the body to morgue for autopsy to establish the cause of death.
BODY FOUND: A 28-year-old man was found lying dead near railway tracks in the limits of Mustafabad police station. Some locals spotted the body of a man lying near rail tracks and informed the police. Body was removed to morgue for autopsy to ascertain the cause of death.
KITE STRING INJURES TWO: Kite string badly injured two bike riders in various parts of the city. Ejaz Ahmad of Sukh Nahar Shalimar was on his way on a bike when a stray kite string cut his throat. Yet in another incident, Mazhar, 30, was crossing a road in Liaqatabad area when a stray kite string entangled around his neck and he sustained a cut throat injury. Both the persons were admitted to different hospitals where Mazhar’s condition was said to be precarious.
50 SUSPECTS ARRESTED: Police arrested at least 50 suspects from various parts of the city. The search operations were conducted in Barki, Manawan, Batapur, Gulshan Ravi, Chung, Hunjarwal, New Anarkali, Old Anarkali, Factory Area, Iqbal Town, and Shahdara Town. Police detained those persons who had failed to produce their identification for checking on demand.
ACTION AGAINST LANE VIOLATORS: National Highways & Motorway Police will stiffen procedures against motorists who commit lane violations. DIG Mirza Faran said some motorists did not abide by the lane rules and this offence also caused many accidents. He directed that all the officers of NH&MP should work hard to maintain discipline on all the national highways by briefing and enforcement.
