The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) is holding a global competition aimed at promotion of Innovations in the area of Clean Technologies here tomorrow (Wednesday).
The programme titled Global Clean tech Innovation Programme (GCIP) will be held here on October 14, 2015 according to a UNIDO press statement issued here Monday.
GCIP is a global competition aimed at promotion of Innovations in the area of Clean Technologies. This competition is simultaneously been carried out in six countries around the world.
The main aim of this competition is to foster innovations in Renewable energy, Energy Efficiency, Water Efficiency and Waste to Energy. The winners will be given prizes ranging from $15,000 to 20,000 plus and would also be given further mentorship and training in Silicon Valley.
This year 450 entrepreneurs and innovators in Pakistan applied for the Cleantech Competition and 55 made it to the semi finals. The best start-ups from each country will be brought to the finals in Silicon Valley USA where they will compete for the Global Prize and will have the chance to connect with the potential partners customers and investors from around the world.
