A father of two children was killed by some robbers in the Shadbagh area on Friday.
The victim was identified as Mohammad Sadique, a resident of Shalimar Link Road. The victim was passing through Amir Road when some robbers approached him and held him hostage at gunpoint. He offered resistance to foil the robbery attempt, on which the robbers shot at and wounded him and fled the scene. The injured Sadique was rushed to a local hospital where he died. Police shifted the body to morgue and registered a case against unknown robbers.
FOUND DEAD: A man was found dead in the limits of Lytton Road police station on Friday.Police claimed that the man, yet to be identified, was an addict, who might have died of excessive use of drugs. Body was shifted to morgue.
Meanwhile, a 50-year-old man expired in a local hospital on Friday, some days after he received injuries in a road accident near Liberty Chowk, Gulberg. The victim, yet to be identified, was hit by an unidentified car near Liberty Chowk, Gulberg some days back. As a result, he received serious injuries. He was admitted to a local hospital where he died. Police removed the body to morgue.
No clue to killers: Sundar Investigation police failed to round up the murderers who had shot dead a father of five children in the Sundar area a day back.
The victim identified as Shahzad Ahmad, 50, a TV mechanic by profession and resident of Molanwal Loharan Wala Khoo, was on his way back home from his shop on Sundar Road a day back when some persons intercepted him near the gate of a local factory and made him hostage at gunpoint. The victim offered resistance, on which the unidentified persons gunned him down. It was suspected that the victim had lost his life at the hands of robbers. Police shifted the body to mortuary.
Meanwhile, Sabzazar Investigation police failed to trace the thieves who had stolen valuables, including cash and gold ornaments worth Rs7 lakh from a house in the Sabzazar area on October 5, 2015.Some unidentified thieves stormed into the house of Noman Maqbool, a resident of 36 Al-Falah Park near H Block Multan Road Sabzazar, and decamped with cash and gold ornaments worth Rs7 lakh. Noman and his wife were at their workplace at the time of the incident. Noman returned home at around 11:35am and found the shelves rummaged and stuff was strewn all over the rooms.
Noman sought the help of a sniffer dog in tracing the stolen valuables. It started tracing the footprints of the suspect and reached a house that was owned by Shahzeb alias Shozi, son of Mohammad Rafique Mughal of Al-Falah Park. Noman handed over the report pertaining to the sniffer dog’s tracking to the police. However, police did not touch the suspects, reasons best known to the investigation officer.
