Dr Yasmin Rashid stresses joint positive role in national uplift
LAHORE:Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid has said Pakistan Day, March 23, is important milestone in the history of the Pakistan Movement.
In her message, the health minister said, “The day reminds us to achieve freedom after immense sacrifices. Today is the day to remember great hard work and commitment of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the heroes of the struggle of independence.
The Pakistan Day movement gave new hope to the nation. The journey to reconstruction of Pakistan shall continue under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan. Tuesday said March 23, 1940 would always be remembered in the history of Pakistan.
He said, “On this day our elders through a resolution laid the foundation for the establishment of a separate country for the Muslims of the Sub-continent. Today we are proud of being the citizens of an independent and nuclear power.”
Raja Basharat said the nation was paying salute to the greatness of all the workers of Tehreek-e-Pakistan including Quaid-e-Azam. “Today we pledge that we will make our country a Pakistan of Quaid and Iqbal in the true sense of the word.
Thankfully, today the reins of Pakistan are in the hands of an honest and sincere leadership and we further pledge that under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan we will make Pakistan a stable and developed country and restore its lost dignity," he added.
NH&MP: National Highways and Motorways Police (NH&MP), Training College Sheikhupura on Tuesday organised a national flag-hoisting ceremony to mark the Pakistan Day. Deputy Commandant NH&MP Training College Taimoor Khan laid floral wreath upon monument of Shuhda of NH&MP. With relevance to Pakistan Day, national songs and speeches
were presented while special prizes were also distributed among trainee officers.
Addressing the officers, Deputy Commandant Taimoor Khan said that every segment of society would have to play its role in progressive Pakistan.
