The untouchable elite

This refers to the news report, ‘New NAB law won’t touch generals, judges’ (November 19). It was quite surprising to learn that under the new accountability law a certain elite class will be exempt from accountability. This is against the natural justice system.
Our politicians should take stock of their weaknesses because such laws only reflect their inefficiency. The government should control all the organs of the state through firm leadership. If it is unable to do so and is only interested in enjoying the ride for five years then it would be better for them to say goodbye to politics once and for all. Let someone else try it – or let the new law take its course.
