I recently returned from a short trip to Karachi. What I found utterly unseemly was the overuse of giant billboards screaming everything – from biscuits and chocolates to clothes and electronics. All you see are huge billboards on both sides of every road.
Unfortunately that is all I remember of the city. On my return home to Islamabad, to my horror, I have noticed similar marketing billboards emerging in Islamabad. I suggest the CDA should limit the display of such marketing campaigns. It is much more calming and relaxing to have trees, flowers and nature to look at and admire when out on the road. Let Islamabad remain clean.
