Woman miscarries after being beaten by three people

PAKPATTAN: A woman had a miscarriage after she was beaten by three people over a water dispute at Chak Chowk Sikandar.
Abdul Sattar and two others entered the house of Kausar Bibi and allegedly beat her. As a result, she had a miscarriage. Police have registered a case.
MAN KILLED ON ROAD: A man was killed and another injured in a road accident here.
Shafiq, 25, of Adha Peerwali and Ali Ahmad, 28, were on their way when their tractor-trolley turned turtle near Bridge Rakh. As a result, Shafiq was killed on the spot while Ali was injured. The injured man was shifted to the DHQ Hospital.
MAN INJURED: A man was injured over a minor issue here. Ghulam Mustafa’s sister was an employee in the Health Department and the department had given her a vehicle for official use but Ghulam Mustafa and his three friends were illegally using it. Nasir of Chak 73/D had reported the matter to the Health EDO some days ago. On Sunday, Mustafa and three others allegedly attacked and injured Nasir. The accused also snatched two mobile phones from him. Police have registered a case.
TWO ATTEMPT SUICIDE: Two people attempted suicide here.
In the first incident, Akram, 35, of Mohallah Faridabad tried to end his life by swallowing poisonous pills over a domestic dispute. In the second incident, Allah Ditta, 25, of Chak 15/SP attempted suicide by consuming pesticides over a domestic dispute.

Woman with two kids kidnapped

PAKPATTAN: A woman and her two children were abducted here.
Arshad and four others came to the house of Munir Ahmad at Chak Fazal Gradh and took his sister-in-law with them for biometric verification of her mobile phone SIM. The woman also took her two sons with her. On the way, the accused abducted them. In another incident, Khalid Nawaz and six others came to the house of Bashiran Bibi at Chak 35/SP and allegedly abducted her daughter. Police have registered separate cases.

Grabbers occupy Baba Sabz Peer shrine’s land

PAKPATTAN: Land grabbers have occupied the land of the shrine of Baba Sabz Peer near Old Vegetable Market Chowk.
Talking to newsmen here, the people said that the grabbers had illegally started constructing shops on the land. They have demanded the high-ups concerned take notice and order action against the land grabbers.
