PML-Q sacks Ch Zaheer

LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Q Punjab president Ch Pervaiz Elahi has sacked Ch Zaheeruddin on violation of party discipline from the office of general-secretary Punjab with an immediate effect.

PML-Q provincial secretariat has issued a notification in this regard. Ch Zaheeruddin had been criticising the PML-Q in his recent interaction with the media and expressed his intent of joining the PTI.

Sources told The News that PML-Q had approached Ch Zaheeruddin from a number of channels to give up his decision of joining the PTI, but he was unconvinced to change his decision. Ch Zaheer is likely to announce his formal joining of PTI in the next couple of days.

PUC moot on 23rd: Pakistan Ulema Council Chairman Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi has announced that third international message of Islam Conference is being held on April 23 to highlight confronting challenges of Muslim Ummah and to devise a mechanism to annihilate menace of terrorism and violence from Muslim world.

Addressing the administrative and coordination committees of Pakistan Ulema Council here Sunday, he urged the OIC and UN that they should come forward to stop mayhem against the Muslims across the world.
