DIG operations said that no private security guards could be hired without having police clearance. All the private security companies and persons can hire a security guard after submitting the complete record of hired security guards, CNIC and pictures to the Security Branch at DIG Operations Office.
After the joint decision of CCPO Amin Wains, DIG Operations Dr Haider Ashraf, SSP Operations Muhammad Baqir, SSP Investigations Rana Ayyaz Saleem, SSP Security Liaqat, SP CIA Umer Virk and other officials, SOP forms have been forwarded to the 84 police stations.
According to the forms, all DSPs and SHOs have been directed to collect the data about the hired security guards and submit it at the DIG Operations office. To get the security clearance certificates of the guards, it is mandatory to mention about the political and religious affiliations of the persons and the company with which his weapon was registered.
