Savannah Guthrie receives secret message as search for Nancy continues
Savannah Guthrie is set to return to 'Today' show on April 6
US TV anchor Savannah Guthrie has received a secret message from the law enforcement insider as the search for her mother Nancy has entered the third month.
The NewsNation’s Brian Entin interviewed a source with inside knowledge of the investigation into Nancy’s missing case, and the insider—who remained anonymous shared what the Pima County Sheriff’s Department would say to Savannah and her family.
The insider tells the anchor, “Just to explain it to Savannah that, just because we have an incompetent lead doesn’t mean that we don’t care. That we don’t want Nancy to be brought home safely and that we’re not with her in this. We are completely with her and her family on this.”
The source further tells Brian Entin, “This isn’t the first no confidence vote that we’ve done. So, it should have been no surprise to him, especially with what’s been going on.
“So now, not only our local community, Arizona in general, but just the nation now sees that we have no faith in Chris Nanos.”
Brian also took to X, formerly Twitter handle and shared the video saying the law enforcement source close to the Nancy Guthrie investigation says “investigators first believed she wandered off and "there was an immediate rush to judgment."
The fresh claims came as Savannah is set to return to the show on April 6, a little more than two months after she took a leave to commit herself to the search for her abducted mother.
Hoda Kotb, the retired Today anchor who has been filling in for Savannah broke the news to viewers, saying that “she is coming back to this job that she loves” after Guthrie’s interview.
