Women entrepreneurship conference on March 11

The WECON’17 - Women Entrepreneurship Conference will be held on Saturday, (March 11), at F-9 Park, here, says a press release.

The event has been jointly organised by Change Mechanics and GOAL in collaboration with TiE Islamabad, We Create, Plan 9 and OPEN Islamabad.

The aim of the event is to bring together major stakeholders from the world of entrepreneurship to not only celebrate our iconic women entrepreneurs but also hold in-depth discussions with ecosystem builders, incubators, accelerators and Government bodies as well as fresh
startups on the challenges, opportunities and way forward to build a stable, scalable and sustainable ecosystem that helps women led businesses succeed in our particular environment.

The panelists will be the policy level representatives from academia, industry and corporate sector. 

The panelists and speakers include Ayesha Hamid, president OPEN, Lahore; Dr. Arshad Ali, executive director of HEC; Nadia Hussain, super model & entrepreneur; Maria Umar of Women Digital League; Shahnaz Kapadia, CEO of MeraMaan; Yusuf Hussain, CEO of ICTR&D Fund; Shahina Waheed, UNIDO; Faisal Sherjan, LCE; Khalida Habib, SECP; Huma Mustafa Baig, founder Ministry of Change; Zainab Tariq, project manager of Plan 9; Maryam Arshad, NIC; Nigar Nazar, founder of Gogi Studios and Murtaza Zaidi, executive director of TiE, Islamabad.
