Govt using e-gadgets to trace person behind false news feeding

LAHORE: The government believed that it would soon dig out who was behind publication of a concocted news item in an English daily about proceedings of a meeting at the Prime Minister’s House.
The government has launched an investigation in this regard. Various methods are being used for the investigation. According to the government sources, all details would come to fore soon as to who provided the reporter with wrong information. All electronic gadgets, telephonic records and CCTV footage are being checked for the purpose.
It is being investigated who was contacted by the reporter after the meeting, whom he met and contacted and with whom he remained in contact. The sources said telephonic records and voices are being probed technically.
