Robber killed, another injured in police encounter in FB Area
A suspected robber was killed and another injured in an alleged encounter with police in District Central of Karachi on Sunday.
The incident took place in the Naseerabad area of Federal B Area. Police said an exchange of fire took place between them and robbers that resulted in the death of one of the robbers and arrest of another in an injured state.
According to District Central SSP Zeeshan Shafiq Siddiqi, the exchange of fire took place in front of the Al-Misbaha Banquet Hall, where police confronted armed suspects. During the intense crossfire, one suspect was killed on the spot, and the second was wounded and taken into custody.
The deceased robber was identified as Aamir, while the injured suspect identified himself as Sarfaraz. Police seized two pistols and a motorcycle from the suspects' possession. The body and the injured suspect were shifted to a hospital for medico-legal formalities and treatment respectively.
