LAHORE: The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) Women Entrepreneur Division, in collaboration with the Faisalabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FWCCI), successfully organised a comprehensive workshop titled ‘Investment Readiness Programme’ on Tuesday, at the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The interactive session was aimed at equipping women entrepreneurs -- particularly those in the early stages of their ventures or operating as small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) -- with practical tools, financial literacy and strategic insights needed to access capital and scale their businesses.

The workshop was led by Saad Ashraf Raja, founder of Edlytica, an edutech company, who covered key areas essential for business growth and investment preparation. These included strategic business planning using the Business Model Canvas, understanding financial fundamentals such as profit and loss statements, cash flow management and budgeting, as well as developing investor engagement skills through pitch deck preparation and elevator pitching techniques.

Participants were also introduced to various funding options, including bank loans, angel investors and venture capital. The session provided guidance on how to compile key documentation -- commonly referred to as a data room -- for presenting to potential investors in a clear and professional manner.

Approximately 30 women entrepreneurs attended the workshop and actively participated in discussions. Questions were encouraged throughout, allowing attendees to clarify concepts and receive tailored guidance relevant to their individual business challenges.

Participants appreciated TDAP’s initiative in raising awareness and offering practical, hands-on knowledge that could be immediately applied to their operations. The event concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony, recognising the active engagement and commitment of all attendees.
