Robber gang involved in woman’s death arrested
LAHORE:Race Course Police have arrested the robbery gang responsible for the death of an elderly woman during a street snatching incident in Zaman Park three days ago.
According to details, during a robbery in Zaman Park, an elderly woman, Salma Qamar, suffered a severe head injury after falling to the ground. She later succumbed to her injuries during treatment.
Taking immediate notice of the tragic incident, DIG Operations Faisal Kamran assigned a special task to SP Civil Lines to apprehend the culprits. A joint team led by DSP Mozang, SHO Race Course, and SHO Lytton Road was formed, which successfully arrested the suspects within 48 hours. The arrested individuals, Hasnain and Hisham, were tracked down using modern technology and support from Safe City Authorities.
Scrap metal trader gunned down
A local trader dealing in scrap metal was gunned down in Nawab Town in what police described as a fatal altercation over a financial dispute. The suspects were traced and arrested shortly after the incident with the help of modern technology. According to police, the victim, identified as Tariq, was shot and killed by three individuals - Shehzad, Waqar, and Usama - following a disagreement over monetary dealings. The assailants fled the scene immediately after the attack.
