Solarisation Scheme: 32,500 households to receive solar systems in first phase: Saif
PESHAWAR: Advisor to the Chief Minister on Information and Public Relations Barrister Muhammad Ali Saif on Monday announced that 32,500 deserving households would receive solar systems in the first phase of the Solarization of Houses Scheme.
Under the scheme, a total of 130,000 households would get solar panels, batteries, fans, and lights, helping families reduce their dependence on conventional electricity and mitigate the impact of power shortages.
The initiative is part of the provincial government’s commitment to promoting clean energy and enhancing the quality of life for residents by addressing energy challenges in an eco-friendly manner.
The solarisation project has been widely appreciated as a step toward energy self-sufficiency and economic relief for low-income families. Officials have expressed confidence that the initiative will not only ease the burden of electricity bills but also contribute to environmental sustainability.
Further phases of the scheme are expected to expand the reach of the programme, ensuring that more households benefit from renewable energy solutions in the coming months.Barrister Dr Saif further mentioned that 30,000 households from the newly merged districts were also included in this initiative. Commenting on the project, he stated that this was a revolutionary step by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government towards addressing the energy crisis. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, he said, the provincial government believed in taking practical steps rather than making empty promises.
He emphasized that, unlike Form 47 governments, PTI does not believe in mere claims and announcements. Instead, it is committed to delivering real results. “Providing ease and convenience to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa remains a top priority for the provincial government. Unlike traditional politicians who rely on hollow slogans, PTI has demonstrated its commitment to public welfare through tangible development projects since assuming power,” he added.
