ALPURI: Light snowfall covered the mountainous areas of the Shangla district on Monday while intermittent rain continued in various upper and plain areas, intensifying the cold. The valley was engulfed in freezing winds, and the mountain peaks were draped in a white blanket of snow. With temperatures dropping below freezing at night, several natural springs in upper areas have frozen. Light snowfall was reported in Shangla’s mountain ranges, including Spen Sar, Koprasar, Kunda Awo Gai, and Ghakhe.
