Our country is in dire straits today because of the inept and incompetent government and the imprudent but obstinate opposition. Since its formation, the government has been continuously registering FIRs against its political opponents. What the government intends to gain from the plethora of FIRs against the members and workers of the PTI is still a mystery. In my opinion, it was the controversial February 8 elections that have brought us to this stage.
It is true that we learn no lessons from our past nor do we think seriously about the betterment of the country. The same undemocratic trends are continuing unabated with no sagacious leadership to help steer the country out of the political quagmire.
