Grants for 17 martyred police officials approved
LAHORE:Provincial Minister for Law Sohaib Ahmad Bharth, while chairing a meeting on Monday at Home Department Punjab, has approved 17 cases of martyred police officials for giving grants under package one, two and three.
The meeting was attended by Secretary Home Punjab Noor ul Amin Mengal, Additional IG Riaz Nazir, Additional Secretary Home Adnan Shahzad, DIG Welfare Ghazi Salahuddin, and other officers concerned.
The committee headed by provincial law minister reviewed each case in detail and put Sub-Inspector M Arshad, Constable Ghulam Rasool and Constable Ismail Rauf in package one category as they embraced martyrdom because of the terrorist activities of banned TTP in Lahore and Rawalpindi.
Similarly, Sub-Inspector M Shafique, ASI M Akram, Constable M Shahzad, Constable M Bilal, Constable Mohsin Bilal, Constable Imran Haider, Constable Ghazanfar Mehmood, Constable M Adnan, Constable Shafique Ahmed, Constable Ashiq Hussain and Constable Zeeshan Khurram were put in package two as they embraced martyrdom while combating with criminals and outlaws during the discharge of their duties.
Likewise, Inspector Zaighum Abass, Traffic Warden M Ali and Constable Ashiq Ali were put in package three category as they embraced martyrdom in accidents during the working hours of their duties at different points.
Under package one, the family of the martyred sub-inspector will be given Rs12.5 million in cash and Rs17.5 million for house and Rs35,000 as transport allowance while constable’s family will be given Rs10 million in cash and Rs13.5 million for house and Rs20,000 for transport allowance.
Under package two, the constable’s family will be given Rs4 million in cash and Rs13.5 million for house while ASI and SI’s families will be given Rs5 million in cash and Rs17.5 million for house.
Under package three, the constable’s family will be given Rs3 million and Rs15,000 for transport allowance while the martyred inspector’s family will be given Rs4.5 million and 37,500 for transportation.
DIG tops National Management Course
Punjab IG Dr Usman Anwar has congratulated DIG Hamayun Bashir Tarar for topping the 119th National Management Course. Dr Usman Anwar awarded DIG Hamayun Bashir a special commendation letter. In 119th National Management Course, officers from various departments across the country participated. The IG said that Hamayun Bashir’s first position in this significant professional course is a matter of pride for the Pakistan Police Service.
