Corruption has been running rampant in Pakistan for decades. Corrupt and incompetent officials in service-oriented departments/corporations are responsible for this deplorable state of affairs. There is a great need to revamp the whole structure of government and semi-government departments/corporations to fend off corruption.
To achieve this goal, we first need to make our anti-corruption bodies independent, vibrant and proactive entities run by honest and proficient officers. There is no denying the fact that corruption is the mother of all social evils and we as a nation cannot become self-reliant until and unless we get rid of corruption.
