Elevate teachers

In today’s rapidly evolving world, education must go beyond traditional rote learning. It is imperative that our students are equipped with critical thinking, problem solving skills and hands on experience with modern technology. This is only possible when modern teaching methods such as smart classrooms, project based learning and digital platforms are widely adopted in our institutions. But let us not forget, no matter how advanced our tools become, the teacher remains the soul of the classroom. Teachers are the backbone of any education system. Their knowledge, commitment and ability to inspire directly influence the quality of education. Therefore, it is imperative that teachers are selected purely based on merit, subject expertise, teaching skills and passion for education. Appointments based on favouritism or political pressure not only undermine the system but also deprive students of quality guidance.

Moreover, the status and well-being of teachers must be elevated. Competitive salaries, job security, training opportunities and a respectful working environment are essential to attract and retain capable educators. Nations that have invested in their teachers, like Finland, South Korea and Singapore, are now global leaders in education. Pakistan, too, must realise that educational reforms cannot succeed without investing in teachers.
