PTI launches symbolic hunger strike in Muzaffarabad
MUZAFFARABAD: Under the auspices of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Azad Kashmir, a symbolic hunger strike camp has been established in front of the Central Press Club, demanding the release of all detainees, including PTI founder Imran Khan.
The hunger strike, called by PTI President Azad Kashmir Chapter, Abdul Qayyum Khan Niazi, continued for the third day on Saturday. The camp operates daily from 3.00 to 7.00 PM and will continue indefinitely until the demands are met.
PTI Azad Kashmir leaders and activists have been actively participating in the strike, raising slogans and voicing their support for their leader. Prominent figures including Central Information Secretary Raja Farukh Mumtaz Khan, Anser Peerzada, Syed Zeshan Haider, Imran Pazeer Sahibzada, Chaudhry Sajjad Peerzada, Jabar Khan Mughal, Asim Mirza, and Shazia Kiani, Advocate, addressed the media during the protest.
While talking to the media, PTI leaders claimed that political rivals fear the party’s strong support and have failed to weaken Imran Khan’s influence. They argued that the current government’s insecurity stems from questionable origins linked to Form 47.
