Kisan Card registration of 300,000 farmers completed
LAHORE:Punjab Agriculture Secretary Iftikhar Ali Sahoo said on Monday that registration of Kisan Card was being carried out on first come first serve basis and until now, registration of 300,000 farmers had been done.
He said this while presiding over a meeting regarding issuance and registration of Punjab CM’s Kisan Card here at Agriculture House. Sahoo said that complete record regarding registration of 121,000 farmers had been provided to the Bank of Punjab and the manufacturing of 250,000 Kisan Cards was under way.
He also directed the relevant authorities to speed up final printing process of Kisan Cards and added that by August 1, registration target of more 200,000 farmers should be achieved. He said that Kisan Card was mandatory to avail subsidy schemes and facilities of the Punjab Agriculture department.
