Badin-Hyderabad and other routes are experiencing a shortage of public transportation, resulting in dangerous practices, such as individuals riding on bus roofs. This illegal behaviour is being tolerated by the transport department, which is alarming because it jeopardizes lives every day. We urge the government to quickly address this issue by providing adequate public transportation services in the rural districts of Sindh. The current situation requires immediate action to ensure safe transportation, which is a fundamental responsibility of any government.
The absence of accessible and safe transportation not only poses a threat to lives, but also hinders mobility and productivity. Our request to the authorities is to prioritize the provision of safe public transportation to mitigate risks and safeguard the well-being of citizens. We must act now to ensure safer journeys for all, rather than waiting for tragedies to force change.
