The Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KWSC) made special arrangements on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat on Sunday.
According to a statement issued by the KWSC, Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab had given special directives to the KWSC chief executive officer (CEO), Syed Salahuddin Ahmed, to ensure water supply and sanitation during the sacred event.
The KWSC maintained that water supply continued throughout the city, especially in the vicinity of shrines and graveyards. The chief engineer of the KWSC, Asadullah Khan, mentioned that water supply was ensured in cemeteries like the Wadi-e-Hussain, Mewa Shah, Sakhi Hasan, Muhammad Shah, New Karachi, Liaquatabad, Khamosh Colony, Korangi and Shah Faisal Colony graveyards. He stated that Hydrants Incharge Saleh Bakhsh Bhutto oversaw all the arrangements and Focal Person for Hydrants Saleh Bakhsh Bhutto personally supervised the operations.
