Collective leadership

As it is now almost certain that elections will be held on February 8, it is time to think about what the next government must do to resolve the many crises facing Pakistan. I think what we need is more collective decision-making among the main parties and their leaders. Once in power, they need to sit together and brainstorm potential solutions to our many problems.
The path they ultimately choose should be consensus-based. It is also important to heed the concerns of our institutions. One feels that if the political leadership shows such maturity, unity, and commitment to democracy, their plans will surely succeed.
