Asia Cup 2022: Afghan captain reveals players took tranquiliser after loss against Pakistan

DUBAI: Afghan captain Mohammad Nabi on Friday revealed that players in his team took tranquilisers following their loss against Pakistan in the T20 Asia Cup 2022's Super Four stage match held on September 7 in Sharjah.
Nabi disclosed more information regarding the players after their last match against India in the mega tournament.

"Players were really disturbed after our defeat against Pakistan. Some of the players even took sleeping pills," the captain shared.
Nabi was satisfied with his team's overall performance in the tournament.
"Our overall performance was good in the tournament. We gave tough time to top teams and our players gained good momentum ahead of T20 World Cup," he said.

Afghanistan lost to Pakistan by one wicket in the last over thriller. Naseem Shah struck two match-winning sixes to shatter the hopes of Afghanistan.
